Mild Cognitive Decline

Mild Cognitive Decline is an early stage of cognitive impairment that can lead to more severe memory problems and dementia. It is associated with decreased memory, insomnia, decreased word recall, slowed processing, confusion, and more.

Evidence-based qEEG Brain Maps can identify the underlying brain patterns associated with Mild Cognitive Decline, such as decreased alpha power, slowed alpha speed, decreased coherence, and increased theta power.

Evidence-based neurofeedback training has been shown to improve these underlying brain patterns and can help slow the process of decline. It has also been shown to improve cerebral blood flow, improve processing speed, and improve connectivity.

We also work with your healthcare professionals, including neurologists and geriatricians, and wellness professionals to maximize your results.

ADHD

ADHD is associated with measurable changes in brain waves related to impulsivity, inattention, procrastination, lack of motivation, behavioral dysregulation, and inability to focus at school or work.

Evidence-based qEEG Brain Maps can identify the brain areas associated with these functions, including poor theta/beta ratio, poor frontal beta activity, epileptiform activity, and more. This can often explain why years of therapy and "trying harder" may not have been effective.

Evidence-based neurofeedback training has been shown to improve the underlying brain patterns associated with poor attention, impulsivity, hyperactivity, emotional outbursts, poor focus, and more.

We also work with your educational therapist, psychologist, pediatrician, tutor and others to maximize your results.

Autism

Autism, also referred to as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a developmental disability in children and adults characterized by difficulties with social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior. ASD conditions are very complex and can vary widely its severity and symptoms such as, but are not limited to, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, epilepsy, GI issues, intellectual disabilities, sensory processing issues, sleep issues, emotional dysregulation, and more.

Evidence-based qEEG Brain Maps can identify brain patterns associated with many of the underlying brain patterns associated with reduced function and emotional regulation, including hypocoherence, hypercoherence, disrupted default mode networks, transient slow wave activity, epileptiform activity, beta spindles, and more.

Evidence-based neurofeedback training has been shown to improve the underlying brain patterns associated with autism spectrum disorder. We also work with your team of healthcare professionals, educational therapists, occupational therapists, and regional centers to maximize your results.

Emotional Dysregulation

Emotional dysregulation can manifest in a variety of ways, such as difficulty controlling emotions, mood swings, emotional outbursts, impulsive behavior, violent outbursts, and more.

These symptoms are often associated with imbalances in different brain regions.

Evidence-based qEEG Brain Maps can identify underlying brain patterns associated with emotional dysregulation, such as hypercoherence, hypoactivation, overconnected anterior cingulate, transient slow waves, epileptiform activity, and more.

Evidence-based neurofeedback training has been shown to improve the underlying brain patterns associated with emotional dysregulation.

We also work with your therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, and others to maximize your results.

Evidence-based qEEG Brain Maps can identify brain patterns associated with these functions, including fast alpha speed, epileptiform activity, beta spindles, alpha hypercoherence, and more.

Evidence-based neurofeedback training has been shown to improve the underlying brain patterns associated with anxiety.

We also work with your therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, and others to maximize your results. We help you work on your “hardware”, while they help you with the “software.”

Evidence-based qEEG Brain Maps can identify underlying brain patterns associated with depression, such as hypoactivation of the prefrontal lobes, increased slow wave activity, assymetrical alpha power, and more.

Evidence-based neurofeedback training has been shown to improve the underlying brain patterns associated with depression.

What Our Clients Are Saying...

After 16 + years of dealing with anxiety that had progressed to the worst it's ever been... I found Vital Brain Health and booked an appointment with Dr. Licata... 20 sessions in and I can already see a major difference, I can enjoy things I couldn't before and just relax and watch television at night , something so simple that means the world when you've dealt with anxiety for years for days on end...

I would 1000 percent recommend neurofeedback for those who don't want to just coat there issues with medication and train/rewire their Brain

Blanca S. | Los Angeles, CA

I always have a wonderful experience when I go into this office. The staff is absolutely incredible, friendly, personal and caring... I have been doing neurofeedback for a few months and have noticed so monumental changes. When I first started seeing Dr. Licata, I was experiencing extreme anxiety and constantly in fight or flight mode, my mind was running non stop and I couldn't sit in one spot or too long.

After many session of brain training, I am no longer in fight or flight, my anxiety has reduced tremendously and I am able to sit still and focus on one task at a time.

Natalie P. | Sandy, UT

This place changed my life and gave me a better one. I was an athlete in college (basketball player) who struggled and suffered for years from a head injury (concussion) that happened during the time I was playing basketball. I tried all sorts of stuffed but never found the treatment or healing that I needed.

These guys were able to uncover and asses the real problems in just about a week, whereas it took me years to even get somewhat close with all kinds of different medical specialists. They were able to provide a piece of my life back that was lost for a long time.
